The Paso Pacifico Foundation is a non-profit organization that promotes and implements landscape-scale conservation projects in Central America to preserve wildlife, protect biodiversity, and connect people to their land and ocean. The foundation is restoring and protecting the habitats by working with local communities, landowners, and partner organizations.
SoftServe supports the Paso Pacifico’s Machete Project in developing a digital platform that gathers unique knowledge and experience in growing forests by using machetes (knives used for farming) to assist natural regeneration and slow climate change through tropical forest restoration in Central America. This platform will let users share this knowledge by uploading photos, videos, and text descriptions and also help volunteers to gather for learning expeditions.
