Simulate medical expert consultations to determine the best course of care

One of the most common causes of death worldwide is coronary heart disease. Traditionally, doctors use coronary angiography—an X-ray examination of arterial heart lesions visible thanks to a contrast agent such as iodine—to detect and diagnose it.

Yet this method isn’t foolproof, with even the most qualified specialists debating the X-ray images. Furthermore, excessive workloads and other human factors can lead to a misinterpretation of these results.

To overcome this issue, SoftServe Data Science specialists collaborated with cardiologists from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Center of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery to create a new approach for interpreting coronary angiography image results.

Based on a medical analysis of 20,000 coronagraphs—the images from the coronary angiograms—SoftServe specialists can simulate the five best specialists’ medical consultations. Combining trained artificial intelligence and CV technology, this solution will help doctors make more accurate diagnoses and decide the best treatment for their patients
