An automated system for recruiting and managing blood donors

DonorUA is a nationwide platform that enables efficient recruitment, coordination, and blood component delivery to hospitals and combat zones across Ukraine.

Since the start of the full-scale war, the DonorUA team has been saving lives while promoting a culture of regular, voluntary, and unpaid blood donation. Through campaigns, art initiatives, and national awards, the project encourages Ukrainians to make blood donation a conscious civic choice. It also supports aligning blood donation legislation with European standards.

As part of the OpenTech initiative, volunteers are working to improve the platform’s user experience by updating the donor’s personal account to make it more intuitive and user-friendly.
