Development of a calculator for the use of disposable hygiene products and a communication platform for young parents

Zero Waste Lviv is an NGO that aims to support a more ecologically sustainable future by promoting zero waste principles in Ukraine. In cooperation with the government and business, it seeks to make Lviv and other cities exemplary municipalities that minimize the use of non-recyclable items.

SoftServe IT Academy, together with Zero Waste Lviv, is working on creating additional functionality to the NGO’s platform.

The new functionality helps calculate the number of used disposable hygiene products and their ecological footprint. Part of this project includes an online forum to facilitate the exploration of multiple-use alternatives for hygiene products.
